JULIAN DAMY

BACKGROUND

I was born in Mexico City, where I studied graphic design and worked as a professional designer for five years. Then my wife and I decided that a change of airs would do us good, so we looked around. But before long, we knew New York was the place. So we moved to Brooklyn. It was supposed to be just for a few years, but this city grabs you and doesn’t let you go. So here we are, many years later, with a New York-born daughter who seems to love Brooklyn every bit as much as we do. So I guess we’re here for good.

I have worked in New York City as a web designer since the year 2000 – first as an interactive media manager for a multidisciplinary graphic design firm, and now as an independent contractor. I have repeatedly developed successful on-line solutions for small businesses and non-profit organizations like the Tribute WTC Visitor Center, Dancing in the Streets, and the Brooklyn Historical Society, as well as major companies like NASDAQ, JPMorgan Chase and Freeport-McMoRan Copper and Gold.
